Hello Studio Desk!
My name is Kat and I’m a 2D animation freelancer based in Vancouver, BC. I recently saw your job posting for a 2D frame by frame animator! I am proficient in Photoshop and do most of my animation and colouring there. When doing more complicated animation I usually rough out my frames in Adobe Animate then move to Photoshop to clean up. I also know how to use TV Paint, After Effects, Audition, and Premiere. Since my graduation from Emily Carr University in 2018, I’ve been working on freelance commissions, independent grant-funded projects, and recently finished an internship with Temple Carrington & Brown.

During my recent internship, I was guided by Art Director Tom C J Brown, where I spent six weeks drawing rough layouts in Photoshop for an animatic, and later pieced it together with all its components. I am well versed with compositing, drawing layouts and assets, and working with audio, all while keeping pace with a fast-changing environment.
I am playful with colour and love to explore with texture, character, and light. I know how make use of layers, organization, and masks to ensure every component is editable in case of revision.
